Once you reach that magical point, your promotion is handled by your followers, your marketing costs become almost non-existent and you can build a repeatable income.
This isn’t just about getting 20k Twitter followers…It’s about “1,000 True Fans”
Wired magazine founder Kevin Kelly brilliantly called it; it’s not about 20k fans initially, but the elusive “1000 true fans”. This is the magic number and should be the aim at the start, Find 1,000 people who read everything you write, listen to everything you say and buy everything you sell.
Getting there is not easy, nor is it fast but we can shortcut about 2 years from the journey by using our decade-plus of experience in building audiences using content marketing.
This will be the best investment you will ever make in your business.

Having a plan is only one piece of the puzzle.
Building an audience using content is flexible, repeatable, scalable and allows you to build a relationship with your customers by sharing your knowledge. Here’s the plan to take you from unknown to the superstar of your industry.
This sets the tone for everything else we need to do. If you post any less than once a week, you can, of course, create better quality content, but without the frequency, it’s hard to get off the ground. Once per week at a minimum is required.
There are many reasons:
- 52 chances for Google to pick your articles up in your first year alone.
- More social media exposure.
- More variety in your articles.
- You can go deeper into subjects which solve specific problems and are therefore easier to rank for.
You might be thinking there’s no way you could come up with that many ideas but don’t worry.
We have a process we take you through which should give us about 150-200 ideas to explore. You can choose the best 52 from there. This is the same kind of process ghostwriters will take their clients through when writing their books.
Giving your audience what they want
It’s not just about pumping out articles you want to write though, this is about matching what your potential audience wants with what you can give them. Too many people try to do one or the other rather than doing both.
One method is searching the Q&A website, Quora for keywords relating to your area of expertise. This is great because it’s gathering the exact questions people are asking. You can then write articles answering them or use them as inspiration for articles of your own.
We do the writing, you just unload your knowledge
You don’t need to write anything, all you need to do is spend 1 hour on the phone each month to us and we will extract everything we need to produce 4 quality posts. I will send each one to you for review well in advance.
All graphics, photos and assets will be created by us. All you need to do time-wise is budget that 1 hour phone call and the rest is on us.
This is an uphill struggle to begin with. It takes a lot of effort to get just a few subscribers and readers but we will figure out the best route to begin with. Where possible we will utilise what you currently have, such as an existing email list or social following. Once we’ve done that we will fill the gaps by using Facebook Ads.

You don’t want to be a guinea pig and with us, you won’t be. You’ll more be a guest at ByteCode. Just follow our lead, contribute when we need you to and for the rest of it, just put your feet up and let us do our thing.

The Process, Step-by-Step
Step 1 | Discovery call
This is where we spoke about your goals, your aspirations, where you’d like to see this in 12 months.
STEP 2 | Assess if we’re a good fit
We say no to more people than we say yes to. The fact that you’re reading this now means we’re pleased to say that you meet our ideal client profile. We hope that as your content marketing partner, we’ll meet yours.
STEP 3 | Proposal (we’re here now)
We’re a good way through the process already.
STEP 4 | Proposal acceptance
To accept the proposal, read the ‘Next Steps’ and follow the on-screen instructions.
STEP 5 | Content Idea Extraction Session and first 8 post ideas
The reason we do 8 to start with is to get 2 months ahead. This also gives us enough content to work with before we get going and tells a story rather than writing 8 random articles.
STEP 6 | Write drafts of the first one. There will be a lot of feedback while we find the style and tone you want to go with.
This is a learning process. We discover more about your brand, voice and tone as time goes on but we expect you to be overly critical at the beginning. We may test you by putting in something outrageous 😉
STEP 7 | Final draft and publishing your first post.
After editing, we get your first post-reading for publishing and send it to live.
STEP 8 | Continue writing, editing and publishing your next posts
The process continues. We will do these in batches so we can all get in a flow and don’t take up hours of your time throughout the month.
STEP 9 | Set up a call for the second session 4 weeks after signing the proposal
This is so we can maintain a 4-week gap in case of delays, holidays etc. You never want to be under pressure to produce something with a week to go for instance. We stay ahead by doing it like this.
We’re a little different from the others
We don’t operate on full payments which means that because you can pay monthly for the duration of the deal, you’re unlikely to ever be “out of pocket”.

$400/32000BDT per month for a minimum period of 12 months. That’s it. Don’t think of this as “four hundred quid a month”. This is a $5,000/400000BDT decision and you need to be comfortable with that. In truth, it’ll be more than that because with us around you’ll be spending more money on traffic to your website, printing and various other things. If you need to take a loan or remortgage your house to pay for this then the deal is off.
The minimum term is 12 months. The reason is simple. We need your commitment for that length of time to achieve the kind of results we both are setting out to achieve.
Giving you the ability to cancel at any time means you’re not thinking long-term and as you know, that isn’t the kind of thinking that produces epic results.

A free month every time we miss a monthly deadline
We do not guarantee you will make money. To suggest this is insulting to your intelligence. We do however have a guarantee which means if things aren’t going to plan then you don’t lose out.
Here’s how it works
As long as you’ve been supplying us with everything we need and living up to your end of the bargain and we’re simply not hitting deadlines then we will extend your deal at no cost to you by an extra month.
In essence, if we’re 1 week late every month, you’d get an entire year free. If we’re late on 2 of the months then you’d get 14 months instead of 12.
We do this to put pressure on ourselves to meet the deadlines we both agreed to. It also gives you peace of mind that in the event that we don’t do exactly what we say we’ll do, then you get us working until it does.
